If you found catalogue records pertaining to your search topic, you may either jot down the record numbers and enter them into our Research Request Form, or copy and paste this info from the database into the Request Form.
In the near future we wil be implementing an automatic bookmarking function which will do this for you.

Even if you did not find what you were looking for, please describe in detail your needs on the Research Request Form and submit it. Our reseachers can give you a basic idea of whether or not your topic is avaialble within 48 hours.

Licensing & Research Requests
RAO is the official international licensing agent for the Russian State Documentary Film & Photo Archive at Krasnogorsk (RGAKFD), the Russian State Archive of Scientific & Technical Documents (RGANTD) and the Russian Information Agency Novosti. We also can assist with requests involving other Russian archives so please do inquire.
RAO's online catalogues cover less than a quarter of the images available from the Russian State Documentary Film & Photo Archive. We are continually adding to these catalogues, but don't despair if you had no luck with your search terms - we will work with you to find what you are looking for.

Note to our public users: RAO currently does not license, sell, or otherwise distribute images for personal use. Please enjoy our online exhibits and we hope to be able to offer a selection of Russian images for sale in the future.
Licensing Policies: The Details
Archive Media Project (AMP) is a Russian-American Limited Partnership formed in 1995 with the assistance of a USAID (United States Agency for International Development) media development grant to provide for digital cataloguing, international access and licensing for the Russian State Documentary Film and Photo Archive at Krasnogorsk. AMP is the official international licensing representative for the Krasnogorsk Archive and also represents the Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documents. Licensing arrangements with other Russian archives can often be made for clients requiring images outside of these archives.
Please note that Hoover Institution materials are not licensable through RAO.

Policies:
Payment in advance is required for research, viewing copies, and licensing. The Archive will not make any masters available unless license fees are paid -- licensors cannot order excess footage and pay only for footage used in their production.
Copy of final edited production master utilizing licensed footage use is required within 1 month of broadcast or other exhibition.
